Think of it like this…
Imagine a 5 year old kid whose parents split up and left him to fend for himself.
He doesn’t even know how to tie his shoes, let alone make any money.
Everything is scary and uncertain.
I mean…
Calling that kid “lazy” would be…
Inhuman.
Think back to the maze allegory in Part 1.
Most of us said “no” to the creepy maze, and almost all of us said “yes” to the easy maze with the high reward.
Why?
Well, if…
- …we are confident in the outcome
- …the reward is high
- …the risk is low
- …and we have a clear path…
… we suddenly find ourselves full of energy.
Despite this…
…we keep belittling our own inner children calling ourselves “lazy” when in reality…
…the problem is something entirely different.
And entirely solvable.

You don’t know what you don’t know. And it impacts every part of your life until you educate yourself and have a shift in perception. That said sometimes the epiphanies don’t come as fast for some as they do for others.

I’m checking my phone so much for the last 24 hours my wife started getting suspicious! I explained Simpleology to her and she found another reason to get mad at me. “Why did you tell me about this before!”
My husband and I literally forwarded this email to each other at the same time. We’ve both used Simpleology for years. Now we’re both staring at our inboxes waiting for version 6.
I didn’t realize how much guilt I was carrying. This post freed me. Bring on Simpleology 6—I’m ready for a full reboot.
